Now this is a big shakeup at RIM. The WSJ is reporting that both co-CEOs Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis have stepped down from their positions at RIM. That is something that a few years back would have been inconceivable. They have named Thorsten Heins, previously RIM’s COO, as the new CEO. Mike & Jim will remain directors and still have all their stock at RIM. Heins told the WSJ that he is not planning to sell RIM though may consider licensing when BlackBerry 10 launches. |
