■米Apple、iPhone 4の受信感度問題でバンパーを無償提供 -AV Watch Appleでは現地時間の2日に、「いくつのバーを表示するかという信号強度を表すための計算式が、“全く間違えていた”」と発表。多くの場合で実際より高い電波強度を示していたとして、この修正を含めたiPhoneソフトウェア「iOS 4.0.1」を既報の通り、16日に公開している。 ただし、Appleは「持ち方によって受信感度が下がる問題はAndorid、Nokia、BlackBerryなどでも発生する」としており、この問題に関する専用ページも開設。その中で、iPhone 4やiPhone 3GS、BlackBerry Bold 9700、HTC Droid Eris、Samsung Omnia IIでも同様に、持ち方で感度が下がる実験の様子が掲載されている。 |
Appleが「よそのスマートフォンも電波悪化するんだからうちのも許してよ」と言い出したようです。
しかし私がテストしてみた結果、BlackBerry9700には持ち方はほとんど影響ありませんでした。
Appleはこんなことばっかりやってないで、自社の製品をさっさと直せば良いのに、と思います。

つまり、特定の場所で発生するかもしれないケースを持ち出して、AppleとRIMには同じ問題がある、というような事を言っていたわけですか。
Appleのこういうごくごく一部の現象を必要以上にクローズアップした印象戦略には感心しません。

また、BlackBerryは電波品質の維持にケースなど必要としない。とのことでした。
